BuyingGroup Ultra ("the extension") is a browser extension that enhances your
experience on buyinggroup.com. This policy explains what it does
and does not do with your data.
What the extension accesses
Your buyinggroup.com session. To show your deals, commitments,
orders, tracking, and payment information, the extension reads your existing
buyinggroup.com login token from the site and calls buyinggroup.com's own APIs
on your behalf — exactly the calls the site itself already makes.
Local settings and caches. Your preferences (e.g. auto-commit
rules, the deals sort toggle) and short-lived caches (e.g. resolved UPCs, app
configuration) are stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.
What the extension does NOT do
It does not collect, sell, or transmit your personal data to
us or any third party.
It does not run analytics or tracking.
It has no server of its own. All processing happens locally in
your browser; the only network requests are directly to buyinggroup.com's API (the
same endpoints the website uses).
Permissions, and why
storage — to save your settings and caches locally.
Host access to https://buyinggroup.com/* — so the
features can run on, and read data from, the buyinggroup.com pages you're already using.
Payments (if you purchased a license)
If you bought BuyingGroup Ultra, payment is handled by ExtensionPay
(extensionpay.com) and Stripe. The extension only learns whether your
purchase is paid / not paid; it never sees your card details. Payment
processing is governed by ExtensionPay's and Stripe's own privacy policies.
Data retention & removal
All extension data lives in your browser. Removing the extension (or clearing its
storage) deletes it. Nothing is retained by us because we store nothing.
